NEW TERM begins April 6th, 2013Stage Right Acting classes take place Saturdays for ten weekends. Long weekends are always off! Stage Right JR (6 - 10 y/o) @ 9:30 - 10:30 am Register for class by clicking on your class option above. Stage Right classes are grouped by age, and the class duration is set accordingly. All levels of ability are represented in the class, much like you would find in a theatre production. We believe that the way to learn is through experience, through acting, through participating at your level of comfort. What are the benefits of our theatre arts classes? What is Stage Right? Our courses teach beginning to advanced theatre arts while promoting teamwork and cooperation. Every actor is allowed to develop at their personal pace in a supportive and encouraging environment. The final class is an informal scripted performance with an invited audience of family and friends. We value achievement and personal enrichment in our acting classes. Our program sets the actor up to succeed while allowing that failure is a part of learning and not a terrifying one at that. We learn to walk and risk falling down. We learn to ride a bike with a few bumps and bruises. We encourage actors to try, to take risks, and if they don't make it the first time, they soon will. We promote the art of theatre in a positive and caring manner, however, our courses should never be considered as 'theraputic'. We teach the art of theatre, so that people who love this art form will be able to flourish at it. Our interests lay in the development of the artist within the person. Head Instructors Anne Marie Mortensen and Charles Robertson have been teaching acting to children, teens and adults for over a decade. |
