We have compiled some acting tips for yopung people based on personal experience. These tips are not from any acting book. These tips are not from a particular school of acting. These tips are not based on theory. They have not been concocted by professors of drama. These tips are real guaranteed methods to improve anyone's acting. Years of experience working with young people in the theatre have helped shape our acting program and helped us define what the major roadblocks are to becoming a great actor.
Our acting tips are useful for anyone setting foot on stage. The language of theatre tends to trap actors in particular ways of thinking. Hopefully we have made the following tips clear enough for anyone, for experienced and inexperienced actors.
Our acting tips are not highly technical but they are techniques for success on stage. Obviously many actors already know these common sense approaches to acting. But so often they are disregarded for flashier theories of acting. But the tips suggested here on this website are guaranteed to help the audience enjoy what you are doing. They are guaranteed to help you do your job as an actor which is to entertain and communicate with the audience. Any theory which does not take the audience's enjoyment into account is not a sound acting theory.
If you want to be employable as an actor, the audience has to enjoy your performance. The audience has to understand what you are saying, what you are thinking and what you are feeling. Our acting tips are tools to help you connect with an audience.
