Bottle Tree Productions co-owner; Anne Marie Mortensen directs the Kingston Meistersingers' production of the musical; Oliver! at L'Octave Thetare on Dalton Avenue in Kingston, Ontario. The title character of Oliver, played by Hector Jenkins, is understudied by his cousin, Cameron Durst-Jenkins (who played Annie in 2009). Liane Penny (Mrs. Sowerberry), Bill Callum (Dr. Grimwig), and Steve Walker (Mr. Brownlow) all have children in the show. Perhaps the largest contingent of family members is the Kaduck family; brothers Anthony and Nicholas, and Nicholas' children, Anton (Stage Manager), Michela (Chorus), and Victor (Ensemble). The Kaduck children's mother, Jill Johnson, also has a hand in the show, having provided costume pieces and coached magic. Choreography is by Chelsea Swain. David L. Smith created the lighting design, and the cast is tremendously talented and hard working.
