Til the Boys Come Home Pg 3

JIMMY (Kissing her on the neck) Yeah, sure. If you’re on the menu.

ALEX (Pushes him away.) Jimmy, ya lied to me. You said you were dumpin' Mary.

JIMMY I know, I know, but these things take time.

ALEX I’m sorry (Walks upstage of RALPHIE’s and TONY’s table) But I don’t want nuthin' to do with you no more. (Looks at TONY.) With none a you! (Approaches WILL’s table to take order.)

TONY (Throws his hands up) What'd I do?

JIMMY Oh, you know Alex. Musta got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

RALPHIE Ain’t ya gonna catch hell from Mary, if she finds out, y’know, that you bin sweet talkin’ Alex.

JIMMY No, Cause no one’s gonna tell her. You’re not gonna tell her, are ya Ralphie? If you know what’s good for ya, you’ll keep your trap shut.

RALPHIE No Jimmy, not me. I’m not gonna tell no one, nuthin'. Uh uh. You know me Jimmy; I can keep a secret…I’m shut up tighter n a clam. Only way somebody could get stuff outa me is, they’d have to cut me open!

JIMMY (Slaps RALPHIE on the side of the face) Good boy! (Intercepts ALEX as she heads back to the counter and pulls her upstage and away from the counter.)

CHRISTINE Hey, Will, could you get me a nice cold glass of water?

WILL Why don’t you ask Alex?

CHRISTINE She looks kinda busy to me. Please Sandy… (She looks at him with puppy dog eyes) Please.

MEGHAN (Places her hand on his arm as if to offer physical encouragement) Go on Will. Be a good boy.
