Cinderella(Meghan Ready-Walters) so named because she must sleep by the fireplace, is treated like a servant by her step-sisters and step-mother. Despite being kind and good-natured her only friend is a mouse (Cameron Watson-Hill. )Her mean stepsiters and stepmother are invited to the palace ball which is hosted by Prince Charming(Tom Sinclair). Cinderella is left at home and cries herself to sleep. In her darkest moments, her fairy godmother arrives to right the wrongs that have been done to her by applying magic to transform her into a beautiful princess. But magic has rules, and if Cinderella doesn't obey them, then her dreams might come crashing down. She heads to the ball where she meets Prince Charming, who falls in love with her. He, however has a certain affliction that makes it difficult for him to approach girls; he is a nerd. With the help of Cinderella, Charming discovers his charm.

This is a highly entertaining play, performed successfully to the enjoyment of Kingston audiences over the past two decades, and priced for families to enjoy.

Bottle Tree Productions gives young men and women the chance to perform these well-loved fairy tales on stage at The Wellington Street Theatre. We make every effort to draw most of our actors from our acting classes since those young people are doing the extra work neccessary to get ahead. We also get to know the kids. An acting class is like one extended audition and we will often recommend our students for roles in other companies when they are ready...Some kids are born ready.

We are less likely to work with kids from other companies only because we don't know them as well. We believe in team work and hard work. Young people that reflect those ethics will do very well with us. We will always pick the young person with less talent over one with more if the less talented one better reflects our values of team work and hard work. Without those values, making it as a professional actor, or at least staying employed is much harder than if you have a positive impact on the company you are working for.
