Free Monologues and Acting Advice

How do I become an actor? How can I help my child find acting work? How do I get an agent? We see these questions daily, and there is no magic solution. The short answer is simple; you have to show up. To become an actor, you have to find auditions and attend them. Many auditions will require some preparation on your part, and the links on this page will help you to find free monologues, learn how to build and write your resume, and what a head shot should look like. We also offer other advice about getting agents, promoting yourself, acting tips, and words from the pros.

We also want you know more about what it is like to have an acting career, and to give you some acting tools and advice from professionals.

There is a lot of information about all aspects of the trade in this site. You may want to explore it more fully, using the navigation menu at the right, or looking at the Site Map.

Not sure how to find what you want? Use the dedicated search bar at the top right of each page.
