Romeo and Juliet
Hannah Smith as Juliet and Alex Whitehead as Romeo star in this summer production of William Shakespeare;s Romeo and Juliet. Hannah is a KCVI student and Alex was set to enter RMC. Alex is a fencing champion and so he choreographed the fighting sequences.
Bottle Tree Productions produced this show at Sydenham Street United Church in downtown Kingston, and at Selby Theatre north of Napanee. Directed by Charles Robertson who edited the script so that the play begins as Romeo, Benvolio and Mercutio are about to enter Juliet's house for a masked ball.
Other performers were Mike Murray as Lord Capulet and Amanda as Lady Capulet, Justin Robertson as the wise-cracking Mercutio, Bonnie Mcleod as the Nurse and Jamie Young as the Friar.
