One Act Plays for Teens

Bottle Tree Productions has several one act plays written especially for teens. There are dramatic plays and comic plays. Ghost of the Tree is a great play for young women. Very emotional. Pretty Pieces is about a dysfunctional brother and sister trapped in a deadly relationship. Disturbing scenes and language. Backstage is a large cast comedy about the theatre. Star Wars vs Star Trek is a funny look at kids in suburbia and their extreme worship of science fiction. Double Double-Hospital in Trouble serves up s strong brew of a hospital bureaucracy gone mad and a certain patient who gets lost in the system

These plays are ideal for one-act theatre festivals or for a night of one acts. If you are looking for powerful drama or hilarious comedy, these plays are for you.

High School Plays for Teens

Sense and Sensibility and Til the Boys Come Home are great plays for teenaged boys and girls. Sense and Sensibility has been adapted from the novel by Jane Austen, and is a show that showcases young women. There are good male parts in the play as well, but the stars of the show are two teenaged girls, sisters who have lost their fortune. The play follows their romantic trials and tribulations.

Til the Boys Come Home is a mixed cast of teen-aged boys and girl, but it is more of a guys play. This is the story of the Second World War. Very emotional. There is music, singing and dancing from that time period. There is also a devastating battle scene. The play follows the lives of six young men from a small town as they enlist in the army. It is also the story of the girls they leave behind. It is a story of how the tragedy of war changes their lives forever.

The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde is the premier comedy in the English language. For a free copy of the script please go to The Importance of Being Earnest-Free Script
