Second City is Coming to Kingston!

The World Famous Comedy Troup is operating Improv Workshops at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in downtown Kingston. Instead of paying lots of money to go up to Toronto and take a workshop, Second City is making it easy for you. They are coming here. A great opportunity for young people to learn the tricks of the trade, to hone their funny bone.

Be the next John Candy, Will Farrell, Mike Myers, Martin Short, Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie or Tina Fey. Get some professional comedy training.

Where is Second City?

Second City started in Chicago and was called Second City because Chicago was often known as the Second City after New York. When a group of Second Citiers took the idea to Toronto; it blossomed, giving many home-grown comedians a chance to strut their stuff in their home country. A Canadian television series followed called SCTV which made stars of its performers. Many went down to star in Hollywood after their work on the show finished.
